Berlin Raceway

Berlin Raceway, a small 0.44 Mile D shaped track, is outside Grand Rapids, MI.  This is our first time to this raceway.

We had 2 new crew members today, Maggie and Allison. They helped push the car thru inspection and tech.

This is the nearing the final stages of the tech line. Body measurements and vehicle weight are checked.

All of these pictures are taken by Vince. This is another good shot of our Dodge Charger on the scales.

Qualifying green flag lap.

Qualifying white flag lap.

Qualifying checkered flag lap, 21 out of 32 race cars.

Our 2 new assistants spent some time with the team pitted next to us, Sarah Cornett-Ching, and we have the pictures to prove it. Sarah was great and appears to have spent lots of time with our crew members.

Here we are after getting the racer out on the front stretch. Chris and Liz Caron came out for the first time this year.

With special thanks again to The Heavenly Heat.com for providing the Hero cards for autographs.

We had a great time with the fans from the Grand Rapids area.

The ARCA officials had to come to me for drivers introduction, but we finished and everyone left with a signed card and a well wish for a great evening.

The start of the Federated Car Care 200 with the 23 car on the pole, light blue, who lead 197 laps, very impressive. What I found out this race is there are some many lines to run, it's like MIS.

I think this is after a pit stop. The HEI 31 crew is getting so fast, I wasn't ready to leave the pit stall. Two tires, gas, and then they were waiting for me. I got a "anytime your ready."

Right about lap 190, things got a little tight, a push in the car and with the race cars on the track. We didn't come out of 1.

The engine stalled and I couldn't refire. So we got pulled in, with less than 10 laps to go, we checked on the damage.

Bob, Dale, and DP discussing the plan for the day. As usual, these guys and girls are awesome.
